The Fun Scientific Method
Last week Te Ngahere did a scientific method DLO. Why we did it was to help use for next term for our science fair . What i'm doing for science is how long bread last from the cheap bread to the expensive bread. Some of the steps is ask a question , Gather information and observe, Make a hypothesis, Make a experiment and test your hypothesis and analyze your test results.

Kia ora my name is Manaaki and my blog post is about Project island song. At 8.30am the year six’s went to the ferry and hopped on the boat that we were traveling on. When we got there we had morning tea and I had a sausage roll and after that we made rat traps. We had to be put into groups of three and my rat trap was really funny. After the rat traps we went to go plant and my plant was a cabbage tree and it was really fun and in the ground I saw a centipede and after the planting we went home.
Today Te Ngahere has been doing a reading test. In the reading test we had to read it carefully, all of the the class didn’t read it carefully even some of the teacher couldn't even read it carefully , I didn’t read it carefully too but it was still fun. We only had four minutes to do the work and it was really hard. I only got up to the fifteenth instruction and the last instruction said to do only sentence one and two.Then you had to draw on the back the paper and wait until everyone finishes. Why we did it was to read the success criteria and I felt embarrassed. From now on I'm going to read things more carefully.

Two days ago Te Ngahere has been learning about smart surfing.Smart surfing is a Google slides that makes you type in your phone or computer a key word a key word is a word that makes you find better information like a keyword is something like kiwi habItat.The word you shouldn't use is where does a kiwi live because it gets all the information from where does and a and google has over 1 million folders of what your searching.

This week in Te Ngahere we are learning about Place Value, Number Lines and equal addition. I did place value I had to write a plan on what I was doing. It was really hard because I didn’t know what to say. If you finished you can screencastify. It took me an hour to finish but it was still fun. I stayed away on the day that they screencastifyed and I hated that.

This week Te Ngahere we been playing a game called taskmaster.The first challenge was getting the teacher a gift and my group was called task cuzzies my group was Aaron and Ebony.I made the group name up and we gave the teacher a bracelet my group came third and the one who came first gave her a paper that said whaea best and that was really cool.The next challenge was that a drawer had to draw a picture and another person had to look at a picture outside and tell where the drawing was but you can’t put your hand on the paper that the drawer is drawing on I really liked it and it was fun
Last Friday our school had to evacuate up a hill because of a tsunami warning. For me it was scary because I live right next to the ocean and that made me really worried because my housed might get ruined I almost tripped coming up the hill. I felt worried because I was anxious for my parent’s so then I asked my teachers if I could try to contact my parents but they never answered and I was crying. I'm happy the tsunami did not come i'm also happy that my chromebook didn't get wet and I waited 2 hours then my mum and dad picked me up.
